HUNTING SEASONJuly 1st through December |
Deposits | Your custom safari is considered confirmed when a deposit of 50% of
the daily rate has been received. The balance of the daily rate is to generally be paid 90
days prior to the commencement of the safari, or June 1, whichever is earlier. Trophy fees
will be collected at the end of your safari. All payments are to be made in U.S. Dollars:
Cash, Wire Transfer, Bank Checks, or Travelers Checks (subject to 2% service fee charged
to us by our bank). Trophy fees can generally only be paid in cash.
|
Cancellations |
Cancellations less than 180 days prior to the dates agreed upon may cause the deposit to be
forfeited unless the dates can be re-booked. However, even if a refund is made, any expenses
incurred by the company on your behalf will be deducted from any refund you may be due. |
Insurance |
All insurance is the responsibility of the client. We'd recommend you consider Trip Cancellation coverage and Emergency Medical Evacuation (Flying Doctors, MedJet, etc.) |
Visas |
Contact the nearest Tanzanian Embassy regarding your entry/travel Visa. The U.S. Tanzania
Embassy web site has forms which can be downloaded.
Visas are valid for 6 months from the date of issuance. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months
past the date of visa request. |
Health |
Consult your personal physician and/or county health department for information on the immunizations
required and for the current anti-malaria prophylaxis. A current international health certificate
with yellow fever inoculations is required.
Information on East Africa can also be found at the United States' Center
for Disease Control Traveler's Web site. |
Firearms | Three (3) firearms are allowed per hunting client. A .375 caliber or larger is required for dangerous game. For each rifle, 100 rounds of ammunition may be imported. Quality solids and softs are strongly recommended, such as Swift, Trophy Bonded, A-Square, Barnes, Nosler. Modern, suitable firearms are available for hire upon request. If you are traveling to/through Amsterdam, Netherlands (AMS) with checked firearms/ammunition, you must obtain permission from the Netherlands prior to departure (click for form; Adobe Acrobat reader required). Weapons are subject to confiscation in Amsterdam unless the owner can show all required permits. A permit for each leg of the trip is required. More details can be found at the U.S. Netherlands Embassy site. |
What to Pack |
Laundry is done daily, so pack light. Three sets of khaki colored clothes, underwear and socks
should be sufficient. Comfortable walking shoes are a must! A light jacket, wool sweater,
and gloves may be needed in the morning and evening. You will need a wide brim hat, sunscreen,
binoculars, sunglasses, insect repellent, small torch (flashlight), camera, film, personal
toilet articles and all personal medications. Charter flights have a 25 kilo (55 lb.) weight
limit per person.
|
Safari Itinerary | Our friendly staff will meet you upon your arrival in Tanzania and
will assist you through customs. Due to commercial airline schedules, you may have to spend a
night in town at the beginning and/or end of your safari. We generally hunt from before daylight
until dark. If we do not return to camp for lunch, a picnic style lunch is provided. |
Camps |
Our camps are located in the most scenic areas. They are traditional tented and/or built from
local materials. Camps are comfortable, relaxing, fully equipped and self-contained, with generators,
radio communications, freezers, cool boxes, running water, hot showers and flush toilets.
